Sante D’Orazio, America’s most sought-after celebrity photographer with a life-long interest in the pin-up phenomenon photographed Pamela Anderson in a one-day session in the fall of 2000 on the terrace of a mansion in the Hollywood Hills. The results of that photo session are now available in a large-sized coffee table book called ‘Pam - American Icon.
“Pamela Anderson is a living, breathing, walking work of art. She’s the personification of Pop Art. If you put her in a room by herself, she’d be a great exhibition.” - Photographer Sante D’Orazio.
Originally commissioned by Playboy, these photographs capture Anderson at a peak of larger than life voluptuousness. These are images that capture a primal moment as expressive of its time as Bert Stern’s Marilyn Monroe or Avedon’s Nastasia Kinski with snake.
