I was completely blown away when I saw this image of Marilyn Monroe - I wish I had a higher res version of this photo to share with you all as it is truly an astounding portrait of one of Hollywood’s legends. The photo comes from the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery - Women of Our Time collection. The picture above was taken in 1954 during Monroe’s trip to Korea to entertain American troops. The photographer was a Navy medic - Hospitalman Second Class David Geary who was at Monroe’s performance with a new Argus camera.
