Dogmatic

Headed to the muchly-awaited Avenged Sevenfold gig tonight. Having been a pretty keen fan of the band since 2003, I was really looking forward to the show.

Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed in the shitty mix the band had on the night. In fact, I’d go so far as to say it was one of the worst sounding gigs I have ever been to. (and I’ve been to *many*) The kick drums were just so incredibly loud and predominant in the mix. In fact, you could hardly hear the guitars - it was that over-the-top. Who in their right mind would mix a band like that is beyond me. Very disappointing.

In my eyes, local Melbourne band Mammal stole the show. Great sound. Great vibe. Great tunes.
