Quite possibly the greatest trailer ever! Head on over to Yahoo’s Grindhouse page and be prepared to be blown to hell in teensy weensy pieces! Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse looks like it is going to be the genre release of the century!
Directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez present two full-length movies in a new horror double feature.
In Tarantino’s ‘Death Proof’, Austin’s hottest DJ, Jungle Julia, sets out into the night to unwind with her two friends Shanna an Arlene. Covertly tracking their moves is Stuntman Mike, a scarred rebel leering from behind the wheel of his muscle car, revving just feet away.
In Rodriguez’s ‘Planet Terror’, two doctors find their graveyard shift inundated with townspeople ravaged by sores. Among the wounded is Cherry, a dancer whose leg was ripped from her body. As the invalids quickly become enraged aggressors, Cherry and her ex-boyfriend Wray lead a team of accidental warriors into the night.

Old school Dogmatic droogs have been clamoring for moi to restore some of our archives and prior content. Although I won’t be restoring everything, I am currently going through the old site and seeing what is worthy of being made available. Earlier this year, Dogmatic did an extensive review of each episode of the last season of the Sopranos. So for our first installment from the archives, please enjoy the Sopranos categegory.

The following images are of a erotic nature - so if you are easily offended (well, you shouldn’t be reading Dogmatic) DO NOT proceed past this point. For the rest of you, please don your X-Ray specs now.

Every so often a new ‘miraculous’ icon of some Christian deity comes along. You know, the bleeding Virgin (!), the crying Saint Whatshisname statue, and the obligatory Jaysus face visible in a daily piece of toast or in the intertwining grain of a tree’s bark.
I don’t usually pay attention to these, ahem, phenomena - but this one caught my attention ‘cos for one, as a painting, I think it looks friggn awesome! (In that creepy this-could-be-an-amazing-record-cover-for-Slayer’s-next-album kinda way!)
And what are the magic healing powers of said painting? Well not much really. Apparently the painting features a shut-eyed Christ but on closer inspection - some loonies are now seeing said painting with its eyes open! Whoa! Spooky!
Hasn’t anyone stopped for a brief second and analyzed what’s really going on? It’s obvious that the painting originally depicted Christ with his eyes open. Down the track the artist has painted over the shut eyes and now over time, said paint is beginning to fade (as paint does) and the underpainted open eyes - are now visible. Or is that far too logical a conclusion?
Regardless, as I stated before - as a painting I think it looks kick ass and would make a sensational tee-shirt!
Back in 2004, I had this crazy idea of documenting each day of my life in a photographic journal. (currently offline - but I will re-upload it at a future date yet to be determined!) I was just beginning to dabble in photography having recently purchased myself a Digital Camera. Although the ‘pic-a-day’ project was successful, as I did manage to document each and every day - it proved to be a mentally exhausting project and one I promised myself I would never attempt again. I made the mistake of trying to capture a ‘masterpiece’ shot every day and I was (and am) so hyper-critical of my own work - that it was damn hard finding ‘the’ shot for the day. In the end, it was a frustrating time but if I begin something - I see it through until its ultimate conclusion.
So at the start of 2006, I decided to jump back into the project and try it once more. And I am glad I did. Regular readers of Dogmatic will know it has been an eventful year (to say the friggn least!) but I still managed to document each and every day (thusfar) with a photo and description of the day’s events. I began reading through it last night and completely found myself reliving some of the highs and lows of ‘06.
Albeit, the year is still not officially over - I have documented the current 353 days of the year and we are down to the home stretch folks! I have decided to make this a 5 year block, so I will be continuing on with it again throughout 2007. And in all honesty, I can’t wait for ‘07 to kick into gear.
So without further delay, here is ‘A Year in the Life of a Melbourne Web-Designer’. Enjoy!

After numerous attempts, Dogmatic has finally made it into the hallowed halls of the 9rules Network. This is tremendous news for this blog. Whilst Dogmatic does have a core audience of which I am very grateful for, I always felt that it would be nice if we could increase our readership. I’m proud of this blog and I feel it offers a slant of news and goodies that many others don’t touch. With that in mind, it is great to be finally acknowledged and not shunned like the weird kid who wears black all the time and is so often misunderstood by the other kids! (heh!)
So to all the new boys and girls discovering Dogmatic for the very first time, welcome to hell fellow droogs! Welcome aboard! Make yourselves comfy and don’t be scared… we don’t bite. (Unless you ask politely!)
South Park: Loud and lewd but sweet underneath. Whilst the likes of the Simpsons should have given it up years ago and Family Guy bores me to tears - South Park just continues to impress.

Ever had one of those days where you just can’t make heads or tails of it all? A day full of strange, quirky, out-of-the-ordinary happenstances that leave you feeling like your a victim of ‘candid-camera’. A day that ultimately ends at 5.30am and as your head finally hits the pillow, you still can’t close your eyes because you are too busy wondering what the hell just happened and where do we go from here? But in this quandary of confusion, you’re still left with feelings of positiveness and hope. You’ve had one of those days? Cool, I just did too.
