I had a meeting with a recruitment/headhunting organization today in the city. (No, not the guys above!) After the meeting, I decided to drive through Brunswick St and see if there was anything exciting to shoot. I walked past these guys and then doubled-back and asked them if I could take their pic.
"You can for the price of a beer!", said the Al Jourgensen looking fella (that’s the one with the hat for non-Ministry fans!)
I replied "Would $10 suffice?"
You shoulda seen the grins on their collective faces!
After the shoot, we had a brief chat about photography and the like. I explained I was purely a hobbyist but enjoyed capturing the essence and urban landscape that makes up this fine city of ours.
Ironically enough, when Sam and I were returning from the Chinese New Year festivities in the city yesterday, the blond fella and his dog were in the train with us - and we were commenting how cute his pooch was!

In stifling hot weather conditions, Sam and I headed to the city to be a part of the Chinese New Year celebrations that would be a major feature throughout Melbourne today. We managed to get to the city at the perfect time as we got to witness the procession of the dragon and the lions and all that goes with it. Although the weather was unbearably hot… (I hate heat!) it was a magic day full of culture and color.
We bumped into these two colorful characters in a side-alley after we had stopped for lunch. I don’t think they understood me when I asked if I could take their picture, but when I pointed to the camera, I’m sure they knew what I had in mind.
New Nine Inch Nails Song Found On A USB Drive In A Bathroom In Portugal. Viral marketing at it’s best… and trust me folks, as far as NIN is concerned, this is only the beginning. Great new track by the way!

I’ve worked in the Web Design/Development industry since 1997. In this decade, I have had the opportunity to work with some wonderful organizations on a vast array of projects from the very small, to the very large. I’ve had the opportunity to design some of Australia’s most visited websites - from the sporting field to the music industry. Also over the past few years, I had the chance to work for my own design and development company which unfortunately closed throughout the middle of last year. I can’t even begin to put into words just how much I miss that ‘being-your-own-boss’ experience I can assure you.
In this past decade I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most amazing talents in this field and also the occasional clown who would be better off managing a car-park. It’s the nature of the industry but when you do happen to encounter these losers, it can turn your world upside down. Having said that, I have just quit a company who I was working for over the course of the last month. The entire experience was as close to ‘Web Design Hell’ as one could get. It was awful. I tried and tried to give it my absolute best but all I managed to receive in return is deception and incompetence.

And in other news, Spin’s got the early scoop on the upcoming NIN album.
While many details have yet to be confirmed about the forthcoming Nine Inch Nails album, the first since 2005’s With Teeth, its title may turn out to be Year Zero, or so one can glean from a new URL on NIN’s website: yearzero.nin.com.
Spin editors recently had the opportunity to preview a few tracks from the album. “It’s a more compact, immediate Trent,” said Spin assistant editor Kyle Anderson after the listening session. “It’s probably the most minimalist Nine Inch Nails has ever been. Conversely, Trent’s getting outside of himself lyrically — it’s a real state-of-the-union message wrapped in a sci-fi concept album about a totalitarian government in the not-too-distant future.”
