The Batman looks great. The Joker’s look leaves a lot to be desired. It looks like something an amature film maker would design with a milk money budget. NOT impressed. Hopefully the story is solid and over the top.
Yeah, Joker’s makeup may look weak, but it gives a sence of reality, morron. What do you expect? to have a green haired white faiced red mouthed guy painted perfectly or dressed elegantly just like Jack Nicholson in “Batman”(1989)????. If you’d take a time to think, you’d realize that that the crappy-bad make-up look, just empowers the idea of his madness, that the joker is dawm psico and that he oly likes to kill. Another thing, do some research before you even start to critisize actors. If you believe that Heath Ledger is gay, then he deserves an oscar. HE’S AN ACTOR, YOU FUCK! WHAT DO ACTORS DO? FCKING AACCTT!!!! So iif he could play a gay man (while having a wife and a daughter), why wouldn’t he be fit, not to say perfect, for the role? ok guys, the movie will be great! batman needs a new suit do to a battle w/ the joker, he doesn’t use the bat cave due to his mansion being burned down in the first film and he will be hiding his batman gear in a downtown gotham penthouse that he’s staying at. the joker’s makeup is great because that’s not the point of the movie, the point of the movie is to portray a darker and sinister joker and i think heath ledger is the perfect actor for the role!

I think this movie will explore the trueness of the Joker, the crazy bad ass that he should be. Heath Ledger was a perfect choice for the role because he knows how to twist his own personality and bend it into something that is not him like in Brokeback Mountain( which by the way is one of the best movies ever made!!!) i am also digging batmans new costume but it may need to be tweaked a little more because it is kind of too over the top with the designs.
everything is pretty sweet for them doing the whole batman movies again, but with all do respect the costumes need to stop changing. Ive been watching batman my entire life and im a huge fan, but it the movie changes him too much. the last batman rocked i know they cant go entirely by the story but in this case they should have because batman was after all the creator of the joker. however im really interested in seeing what theyll do.
it looks great!!! heath ledger is an amazing actor with this talented group of actors this movie has great potencail. (as long as the script is as good as the last one) and you should not get your homophobic views interfere with everyones injoyment of great movies. (like brokback mountain and hopefully, this on!!!)
IM so psyched for this flick…….Batman is the poo!!!! im a bit skeptical of Heath Ledger, im too used to the other roles he’s played. BUT, im sure he’ll do an awesome job, he’s very talented. I have heard rumors that Harley Quinn has a cameo? i certainly hope so, she is the best. and it’d be great to see her in a live batman flick for once rather then just the animated series. Anyways, I agree all you ppl need to take your homophobic heads out of your asses, so what if he was a gay cowboy. Just shows how versatile he is. I think Heath will do a killer job…and if not its his career not mine. Though it will be hard to fill the shoes of Jack Nicholson, but lets face it, its time to see a different approach on the role of the joker, who knows all you skptics(myself included) may be eating their words when its all said and done. YAYS!!!!! cant wait!!!!!!!!

i have no doubt in my mind Heath Ledger will do a stellar job as the Clown prince of darkness, for the soul reason that to play a role as big as the joker, he surely knows just whats riding on it, after all the previous joker (jack nicholson) did do a fantastic job, but this time its a more serious, realistic & psychotic approach, christopher nolan & his team did an amazing job with batman begins & the casting,i can’t see them messing this up

Joker looks fuckin’ sweet! I love his face. It makes him look sick, and homicidal, which it should look. I hope he dies by getting stabed by the Batman,and falling of a building, and falls on the streets. And then the finale, should be him getting flattened by a school bus. Hello readers. My name is Chistopher Nolan, and I am currently the director of summer 2008’s hit sci fi action production, the Dark Knight.And i am here to share the finale of the movie. Joker and Two face joined forces and then kidnapped Rachel Dawes and held her hostage, in return, they would have the bat. So Bruce than goes to Two face and demands where he and the Joker are hiding her. When he refuses to tell him, with all his hate, and anger, Bruce punches him in the face, and throws him off a 50 foot building. Then he hunts down the Joker. When he finds him, he punches him bloody, and brings him to Arkham. Gordon comes to the cell, and he and Batman are convincing him to reveal where he is keeping Rachel. Suddenly, Joker’s goons invade the asylum, and Joker and the others break free. Batman then chases them down. Joker than steals a plane, and flies away from Gotham, along with three of his goons, and Miss Dawes. But the Batman then breaks into the plane, and knocks all of joker’s goons out. He then goes to Joker, and the two of them have a final battle in the plane. But then the plane crashes into the Gotham bay, and the two of them are fighting underwater. Batman then shocks Joker with a tazor, and hooks his legs onto the plane. The plane then sinks to the bottle of the bay along with Joker getting pulled down by it. Batman, rescues Rachel, and that basically is the end of the Dark Knight. I hope you like them movie. It is coming in July 2008.

While getting chased by the Batman, Napier stumbled inside a factory,and tried to fight the Bat.Of course he was no match, and the Batman punched Napier right in the nose,and he flew across the room, and hit a closet full of dangerous chemicals. As he hit the closet, it shook it, and a glass of acid, fell and hit Napier right in the face. The glass shattered, and green liquid everywhere. Napier screamed as his burned face sizzled. He then put his hands over his face, and couldn’t see a thing. Then he tripped, and fell out of a window into Gotham Lake. Later he came out, completely transformed from gangster, to insane homicidal freak villain known as the Joker.
This was one of my quotes in the Dark Knight film. “Gotham is going to pay for it’s sad behavior against my will. I am going to destroy the reek in the city, and create a massacre known as the murderous spectacular. The people of this city will die. I’m a man of my word.”

I just about cried when i read this. I honestly think tht she is a great actres but, not for Harley. I dont think she can play Sociopathic/Homicidal/Psychopathic/Joker Obsessed Harley Quinn. Sure we have all seen her do ditzy and dumb blond…..Daphne-Scooby-Doo. But Harley is about her voice, her attitude, her insatiable apitite and advances towards Mista J. im just scared that she will ruin my favorite character for me…..as excited i am, that there could possibly be a chance that Harley is involved with this movie, it would suck if ‘Buffy’ did a bad job. Sarah Michelle gellar is a great actress and if u’d watched her films you would no that, She did an outstanding job as buffy and im sure she’ll do the same here. And if you hadn’t rellised Scooby-Doo was a light hearted comedy in which she played a dumb blond. Like so many people have said before me- Its called ACTING!
anyone who says heath ledger is the guy from brokeback needs to take a step back and watch movies like “10 things i hate about you ” or “a knights tale” i mean come on the guy is married with kids if you think he’s gay then you’ve got a problem i mean noone called colin ferrel a fag when he was bullseye in DD and he’s done MORE than ONE movie where he’s played a gay role and had to kiss guys ….i dont think the guys who brought us batman begins would / could give us anything bad so just have faith if not in heath ledger then the makers of the movie
1st things first. Im a huge Batman fan, always have been always will be. Seen all the movies, including the one with adam west, if you can call it a movie (shark repellent???) Anyway. Loved the new Batman. Dark, how its supposed to be. Gave a new insight into how Batman has all his cool gadgets and fighting skills….its just nice to know these things eh? Heath Ledger as the Joker?? Will wait to see how he goes before passing judgement. Do believe he can pull it off, however, loved Jack in the original. Legendary role and played it like a genius. If Heath can top that, which is no easy feat then fine……deserves an Oscar!!!! I really hope he does, it will ruin the movie if he doesnt purely for the fact that come summer 2008, if he cant top Mr Nic thats all the film will be remebered for. What a shame that would be.

If anyone still questions the Joker watch the teaser trailer and by the sound of his voice alone you can tell he pulls it off.
Ok, lets see: the idea of a burned Joker was concieved by Tim Burton, yes, because in the comic books the joker has no burning scars on his face, the penguin is not deformed and catwoman is not blonde, all those amazing things in the first two movies came from the originality of a great filmmaker. The makeup for the joker in dark night is shitty, is a bad copy from the joker Burton used in 1990 , the first Batman is a cinematographic jewel (and so is batman returns), Jack Nicholson is an awesome actor and cant be replaced by some pretty face of Hollywood (Brokeback mountain didnt win at the ocars not becuase it was about gay people, it failed because of the bad acting of this moron called Heath Ledger, direction by mr lee was great and the story was good). Is that the batcave??? man looks like a fucking 2 bucks garage, Chicago is Gotham city??? give me a fucking break, there is not a single gothic element in the architecture, the batmovile looks like a lego tank, visually it ruins the atmosphere.
Nolan pretends to be better than Burton, maybe he should try not to use a burned joker??, maybe he should at least try to not copy the first movie and make an original feature?…we are not in the 80s anyomre, true, Does that means I need to see this mountain of crap and deny the greatness of the first Batman??? First off. Why would Christopher Nolan, come on to this website to tell the ending of his film, about fights on planes, fights in water etc. I think the new film was a lot better than the original, seemed a lot more realistic giving a back story etc. Jack as the joker was good but rather comical and wacky as opposed to Ledgers supposedly dark pshychotic joker, which i think personally will be a lot better. I heard that Harvey Dent will have a minor role in this film, but not sure if we will see a lot of two face, probably towards the end setting him up as the bad guy for the 3rd film. Summer 2008 cant wait!

I think it’s funny that Jack Nicholson was “the ultimate” Joker until it came around that the character would be used again in Nolan’s sequel to ‘Begins’. Now all of a sudden “Jack’s Joker sucks and wasn’t true!”.

Personally I loved Jack’s performance and am very much looking forward to Heath’s performance. I think this Joker will be VERY different, i.e. more of a strung-out psychotic thug type. His makeup looking so amatureish only adds to the more gritty, psychotic edge to this Joker, imo.
When i heard that Heath Ledger was going to play the joker i cringed and thought to myself “What are they thinking?!” But looking at the pictures he looks scary and real and i never realized how wide Heath Ledgers mouth was.
oh an i think the picture of the bat cave is the new bat cave and it still is underground just that the ceiling is well lit and low, like a testing facility for his new ride.
I was hoping for more loyalty to the comic books. They can go for the “realistic” vibe if they want, but I was still expecting the joker’s face to be twisted in a deformed grin.
The story may still manage to make up for it and turn out a quality film, but at this point, I’m disappointed that they aren’t following the comics.
I’m impressed with Heath Ledger, considering the only roles I’ve seen him in are pretty boys and cowboys. Props to him for going all out for this role.
And Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent?! That may well be a dream come true.

Look, I can already tell you guys that if your Batman fans, and have an open mind, you will love this movie. To compare Heath Leger’s Joker with Jack’s is dumb. For one, you have’nt even seen Heath Leger play the Joker except for maybe the trailer. Dude’s a good actor, and not a fag, just cause he acted one. In that case, I would be scared as hell of Robert Englund cause he’s Freddy. Don’t be idiots. And yeah, it would be nice if the batman suit (in at least one of these movies) was more traditional like the comics but hey, Cristopher Nolan is awesome, and so is Cristian Bale so, it may happen. For the mean time, quit bitching. Most of you that are doing the bitching are gonna totally change your tune when you see the movie anyway.

Heath ledger was in BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN , and has died at the age of 28 , The batman “Darknight” is said to be on hold at the moment as there are some finishing parts that were yet to be added , My condolences go out to his family , and especially his daughter , GOD BLESS YOU HEATH!!

1st off, R.I.P. Heath Ledger. now to the meat of da matter. my opinion is why is everybody making a big deal out of the details of this movie. aside from the characters y’all should take a look at who’s directing da damn film in the 1st place. Tim Burton’s vision of Batman and the Joker, Catwoman and the Penguin are classic and i hope to believe that’s what Nolan was aiming to achieve visually without being a clone, but when it got down to those other Batman flickz….the ones that stole every neon like it could find and wrapped Bats up in aluminum foil, yeah, now those were the gay rainbow suits that should never see the light of day, jus the oven. now heath’s make up and Bale’s suit won’t be understood by the ppl who can’t wait to see dis movie…. i.e. ME and others as well until the movie comes out.

Tim Burton did NOT create the idea of Joker being created by falling into a vat of chemicals, that originated in 1951 (37 years BEFORE Burton made Batman) in the comic ‘Detective Comics #168′.
Joker had his skin colour changed to a bleached white, green hair, bright red lips and a grin that he cannot remove.
The concept of the Joker being deformed in this way is far more orignial. Rather than the elegant transformation that occured in the original and the comics, it’s a bruatal disfiguration and he wears makeup (rather than simply being bleach white skinned) to make this disfiguration more prominent.
This Joker is far more like the original Joker, who was a messed up psycho with the urge to kill, murder and maim anyone and everyone. He was incredibly intelligent and sly, but rough around the edges. Nichllson’s Batman followed later comics where he was more elegant and precise, and looked more suave overall.
This is more loyal to the old comics, so it is still loyal. It simply fits better with the theme that Nolan’s Batman movies are following. A Nicholson style Joker simply wouldn’t fit into this style and would be incredibly camp and fit completely wrong.
Plus why would we want exactly the same thing we have seen before?
You can be a fan of one and still enjoy the other. Just because you love the orignial doesn’t mean you MUST hate the next one. Be more open minded.
