
I usually like to only use my own photos as my desktop wallpaper, but for this month I have made an exception. I have in my archives some (ultra) hi-res color photos from the 1940’s which are to die for! I can’t remember where I sourced them from, but they are truly amazing and measure at an impressive 2636 x 1461 pixels. Here’s one of a London street circa 1940.

that’s beautiful.. i really loved that tv series ‘world war 1 in colour’, and that’s the first thing i thought of when i saw this.. it’s strange seeing back in time, the way that the people of the time were seeing it instead of just memories in black and white..
this is a very cool photo (actually all of your wallpapers rock), but I keep checking to see if you’ve made this one of London available. Nice stuff. BTW, you da man on commandshift3!!!
