…I’ve got the first episodes myself, now to find time to watch them. I for one don’t feel sorry for the Nine Network in the slightest. Remember the contempt they treated ‘Sopranos’ and ‘Six Feet Under’ by broadcasting them in ungodly hours and often missing episodes. Thank fuck for Torrents!

Henry Rollins; provocateur, renaissance man and, let’s face it… really funny guy, returns to Australia this April for his umpteenth Spoken Word tour. (And the umpteenth time I have seen him - but it is always a great night out!)
Henry was last here in January 2006 as part of the travelling Big Day Out circus - the first performer to appear on the BDO in such a capacity - enthralling thousands as only Henry and his sense of truth, justice and the humorous can.
“A hard-core renaissance man who clocks life with military precision,” said the Boston Globe. “The 47-year-old former Black Flag frontman rants, raves, reminisces, opines, and editorializes…during his latest and well-titled show, Provoked.”

I found out about this thanks to the fab Underground Melbourne blog and after doing some research, this is definetly an event I will be attending and hopefully, photographing.
From the Circa Nocturna website… Circa Nocturna started off as a concept that was very quickly met with acceptance and great amounts of enthusiasm. As Melbourne has such a large group of gothic/alternative dark themed designers, why isn’t there a fashion show that highlights their talents?

Marky Ramone is helping to promote safe sex in the USA by launching a condom kit for sex education company Ready Two Go.
The Sun reports that the drummer is helping to spread the message about the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases.
“The world has lost too many people to STDs of all types, and that is why I joined up with Ready Two Go for my signature series of safer sex tins,” Ramone explained.
The tins have a Marky Ramone emblem on them and include condoms and information on sexually transmitted diseases.
The launch of Marilyn Manson own brand of absinthe is not exactly being positively embraced by critics. Most compared the drink’s odour to sewage water and one even described the taste as being “as bad as piss”. One wonders how this critic would know this… The beverage, launched under the name ‘Mansinthe’, has also been receiving negative comments by a panel at the gourmet food website www.epicurious.com : the smell of the beverage can be compared to sewage water, swamp mud and rubbing alcohol. And one taster added: “If a smell could speak, this absinthe is saying: ‘Do not touch.’”
The final conclusion: “The No. 1 problem was the aroma, which some verbally compared to sewage water or swamp mud, but with the exception of a lone taster, the panel felt it wasn’t really worth wading through the odor to get to mediocre flavor anyway.” Absinthe being illegal in the US, the product is produced in Switzerland and holds a self-portrait of Manson as an old man a label on the bottle.
And there is more trouble on the horizon as the official Mansinthe website (mansinthe.com) has been put on the Google blacklist as the site has been identified as a one that may install malicious software on your computer. For those who don’t want to risk the security of their PC, “Mansinthe” is now officially available at www.absinthe.de for purchase online at 36 EUR per bottle.
This is too freaking funny! A sex tape featuring Gene Simmons of the once mighty KISS is doing the rounds. And of course, the God of Blunder ain’t too happy about it all. The website GenesSecret.com has got it all for the taking. The site’s video stills shows Simmons having sex (BWAHAHAHA!) with a woman identified as an Austrian babe named Elsa, a spokesmodel for Frank’s Energy Drink. Simmons endorses the drink. (BWAHAHAHA!)
On his own website, GeneSimmons.com, the rocker addressed the issue in a brief letter to his fans.
“Hi everyone,” he wrote. “You may have heard or seen garbage that has sprung up from my past.Rest assured the proper legal team is looking at all ramifications and options. And us? Shannon, Nick and Soph are happy and healthy. All is well. And thank you all for the kind words of support.”
Photos on the site promoting the sex video show the couple going at it in several positions, with Simmons keeping his shirt on (HAHAHAHA!) and Elsa wearing lingerie.
Seriously, I really don’t know what’s funnier… the fact that he bangs with a tee shirt on, or that friggn dead raccoon on his head!
Lathan McKay, the actor who will play late Alice In Chains singer Layne Staley in the upcoming movie ‘Get Born Again’ — based on the biography of Layne Staley by Argentinean journalist/author Adriana Rubio — recently met with Rubio and they spent 10 days together working on the movie project. A local rock band, Motherweiser, played numerous Alice In Chains songs to assist Lathan in his vocal performance and character development. When Lathan took to the microphone, Staley’s presence “was definitely felt and acknowledged by everyone in the room,” according to a press release.
McKay shares an incredible likeness to Layne Staley, and has an inner ability to channel Layne’s energy.
Lathan has a tremendous respect for Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell’s music, and is very passionate about the opportunity to portray Layne as the beautiful, talented soul that he was.
Lathan McKay was born on January 10, 1978 in Austin, TX. He started his acting career a few years ago landing one of the lead roles in a coming of age story set in suburban Texas, premiering at 2003 Tribeca Film Festival.
