Heath Ledger was told to seek professional help for his personal problems while filming The Dark Knight, according to reports.
The late Australian actor - who tragically died from an accidental prescription drugs overdose in January - was reportedly warned he had become too obsessed with his portrayal of iconic Batman villain The Joker in the upcoming blockbuster.
A source told FOX News: “Heath refused to talk to anyone out of character.
If you tried to communicate with him normally instead of The Joker, he would just ignore you.
“He would often come to the set to hang out even on his days off, freaking everyone out. Towards the end of filming, he was warned by people that he had gone too far, but it was almost like he couldn’t connect with those who cared for him anymore.”
Ledger reportedly locked himself in an apartment for an entire month before playing The Joker, who he described as a “psychotic, mass-murdering clown”.
Ledger also admitted he had such trouble sleeping while shooting the film he resorted to taking the prescription drug Ambien.
Sources on the set of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’- the movie Ledger was filming when he died - also claimed the actor could not “snap out” of character and seemed to have “lost sense” of who he was.

After much recent speculation, Eric Avery has agreed to join former band mates Jane’s Addiction for a one-night-only performance at the first-ever U.S. NME Awards. The iconic foursome will be crowned with the Godlike Genius Award during the ceremony and performance, to take place at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on April 23. Jane’s Addiction is joining the likes of The Clash, New Order, Primal Scream and Manic Street Preachers, who are among the acts to have picked up the Godlike Genius prize at the UK awards.
Avery has continually declined offers to reunite with the band and instead focused on his musical endeavors, most recently, a debut solo LP, “Help Wanted”, released last week on Dangerbird Records. “I’ve chosen to reject the prospects of reuniting in the past for personal and philosophical reasons. I have always considered reunions to be a way to make a quick buck, and it sells short my own experience of it the first time around,” Eric Avery attests. He adds, “The reason I started to even consider this is because it’s honoring the past instead of trying to recreate it.”
NME will bestow this award upon Jane’s Addiction because, as they state, “[they've] done more than any other band to introduce American alternative music to the mainstream, founding the touring Lollapalooza festival and giving what frontman Perry Farrell refers to as the ‘alternative nation’ a real cultural focus and voice.”

Ok. I want one of these. I want one real bad! I think it would look so friggn perfect standing watch over my toilet bowl! So if any of you Dogmatic droogs know where one can get one of these.. shoot me an email.
Figurines of Pope Benedict XVI go on sale in a gift shop in Washington DC, as the Pope prepares to visit the United States.
Friggn Catholic fruitloops!

I dunno. I think I’m getting old. Superhero movies just don’t do it to me like they once did. It wasn’t too long ago that the mere thought of my fave spandex-clad droog hitting the big-screen would have me literally counting down the days. Now, I just don’t really care that much.
There is a proliferation of superhero flicks about to hit hard though throughout 2008… Batman: The Dark Knight, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk.
Batman should be great. The last one was! Iron Man looks real interesting… brilliant casting of Rob Downey Jnr. but what I have seen of Hulk so far has me feeling a little ho-hum! Sure, Ed Norton is in it… and that’s a plus, but I’m not feeling that positive about it all.
Anyways… here’s the poster. Now that does look real cool huh?

Banksy pulled off an audacious stunt to produce what is believed to be his biggest work yet in central London.
The secretive graffiti artist managed to erect three storeys of scaffolding behind a security fence despite being watched by a CCTV camera.
Then, during darkness and hidden behind a sheet of polythene, he painted this comment on ‘Big Brother’ society.
Yesterday the scaffolding gang returned to remove all evidence - again without the camera operator stopping them.
The work, above a Post Office yard in Newman Street near Oxford Circus, shows a small boy, watched by a security guard, painting the words: ‘One nation under CCTV.’
Andrew Newman, 35, a businessman from Dulwich, who works locally, said: ‘It was only on Sunday morning that the Post Offices guys realised what had happened.’

Secretive graffiti artist Banksy is believed to have created his biggest work yet, under the not-so-watchful eye of security cameras in central London.

According to The Pulse of Radio, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones are featured in the new issue of Uncut reflecting on Led Zeppelin’s long history and what lies ahead for them as a band.
Robert Plant, who is widely viewed as the lone hold out on agreeing to a full scale Zeppelin tour, was asked if he felt the success of the band’s performance last December at London’s O2 Arena was enough of a victory to permanently ice any future work with the band. Plant said, “Not at all. I really enjoyed it. And hopefully, one day we could do it again for another really, really good reason… For people who came from Australia or Japan, to Jason (Bonham’s) family, John’s family, all the families — anticipation and expectation was huge. The potential for failure was also great because nobody knew what it was going to be like.”
Plant went on to reflect on the O2 show saying, “We did what we set out to do and more, in every respect. We showed people that Led Zeppelin did go on a bit… The interplay between us all was excellent.”
John Paul Jones, who has said that he, like Page and Bonham, would like the band to hit the road, reflected on the reunion gig, saying, “It felt like the first night of a tour. You think, ‘Oh, I could do that bit better, or change something in that song.’ And we didn’t get a chance to do any more.”
When pressed about the prospects of a Zeppelin reunion album, Jones said, “I’m not too certain about anything at the moment. I’ve got no idea what’s going to happen, but I’d certainly like to play with Jimmy again.”
Jimmy Page says that there are currently no plans to release a CD or DVD from the O2 show: “It was recorded, but we didn’t go in with the express purpose of making a DVD to come out at Christmas, or whatever. We haven’t seen the images or investigated the multitracks. It’s feasible that it might come out at some distant point, but it’ll be a massive job to embark on.”
When asked point blank what the current status of Zeppelin is now and if a tour could happen, Page said, “The focus was on the O2 show. That’s what I had my focus on. As for Robert, he had a parallel project (with Alison Krauss) and it’s been successful, which I suppose means he doesn’t have time for Zeppelin at this moment. What I do know — is at the rehearsals, and the O2 gig, we were really inspiring. Okay? That’s all I’ll say.”

Looks like ole Robert Banks is keeping busy these days… here’s some new samplings…

Seinfeld’s George Costanza made a big fuss about owning a car that belonged to actor John Voight.
Well how about owning a car, a Lamborghini no less, previously owned by the world’s most famous erotic actress, Jenna Jameson?
Jameson has set up an auction on internet trade website Ebay to sell her pristine yellow 6 speed, V12 6.2 litre Lamborghini for the asking price of $182,900 U.S.
It is unclear as to exactly why Jameson is selling the car. But considering her retirement from pornographic performance earlier this year, and a lawsuit made against her by fellow porn star Tera Patrick, maybe it was time for Jenna to cut out the excess?

George Orwell’s ‘1984 and ‘Animal Farm’ are about to be re-released with some pretty special cover-art. These classic literature titles which I thoroughly enjoyed way back in my high school years, have been given a Shepard Fairey make-over and boy, DO judge a book by its cover! These look amazing and as most of us who have read them already know, are incredible books as well.
