My favorite era of KISS was undoubtedly the Destroyer era of 1976. Visually, the band had peaked and never looked better. Musically too, they would never record a better album than Destroyer. Everything about 1976 was just perfect and it is an era that the band would always try to re-capture but fail miserably at. (Psycho Circus anyone?) So for this week’s installment of ‘When KISS Was Cool’ - here are some shots of the band alive and kicking in Atlanta on the Destoyer tour! Enjoy!
Yes you are absolutely right, brother. Aldo I find the circus album acceptable, before I heard the stories that THommy ASSface, played most of the parts on the album. KISS IS and WILL always be: Peter,ACE,Paul and Gene. If I see the current goings on in Europa with the so called fans (Jumping on the bandwagon assholes) AT THE MEET AND GREETS Than I shit myself. Its a Tribute band, and they ask Euro 1050 to meet them ($ 2000.00). I met them all years ago and had to pay jackshit,nothing. Also the stories about Ace and Peter time and again, I am sick of it. So 1976 was a GREAT year, with 4 talented young people. I think THommy F…Face was in dipers at the time. Greetings from a REAL kissfan in The Netherlands.
Oh it’s so stupid… It looks like someone makes you to pay all this money to see the new KISS line-up. Poor, poor Marc, your life is sooooo hard. Make the real KISS fans a favor - please DON’T come to any more KISS shows. We prefer to have the best fun in the world without crybabies.

Kiss on its peaks was 1976-1977. Every Rock band is at its peak when they’re in their mid 20s. I saw them in Amsterdam in 1976 and they weren’t that good that evening (retrospective spoken) but I had the time of my life. The Stones are also a cover band of themselves. So what? Don’t listen, don’t go if you don’t give a shit. Kiss are making money, there’s nothing wrong about that. You would do the same if you were in that position. Get awake this is 2008. If Peter and Ace ever will share the stage with Paul and Gene again I would like to be there. But don’t expect to see the HOTTEST band in the world anymore. Peter can’t keep the pace and can’t carry a tune anymore; Ace is missing notes and didn’t give a shit for a long time. So, hold on to your dreams. 1976/77/78-KISS is gone, let’s just enjoy what we have (audio / video recordings) and for those who want to see a different version of KISS, they can have that too in 2008. By the way, I think it’s sad that you need to use such strong language to feel stronger. You will NEVER EVER be a boss like that anyway.

Thommy and Eric? So What? The band never sounded tighter? And it is NOT a cover band. People who tour without their original Mastermind, Singer and Leader (Like THIN LIZZY without Phil Lynott) are cover bands.
KISS? Hey, Paul and Gene are, were and will be KISS, from the 1st to last record, I love ACE, too. But as long as the two (Paul/Gene) are there, you have KISS, 76? Yes they look young and wild, like everyone in their twentys.
They are going strong to their 60s, think about this, and tell me if your relatives who are 60 years old are as cool and fit as Gene and Paul!!

Annoying when people lecture about the band, that they should of quit when original line up split up. Oh, yes… they give up multiple pussy, money and fame, just to please you, who think are only true fans. And then Gene and Paul would have taken jobs as shoesailsman`s, and lived happily ever after. I, like many others, first found kiss in the 80`s and been a true fan since, almost 25 years now. Of course i love original line up, how could i not? but I also feel very powerful about 80`s classics. I mean, if you really think classic albums like “Creatures” “Lick it up” and “Animalize” should have never been released, that`s just unimaginable coming from “true kiss fan”.
