Continuing on with our look at classic-era KISS, here’s the band in 1974 getting ready for a gig at Alex Cooley’s Electric Ballroom.
Stay tuned for weekly updates for what is proving to be a popular section here at Dogmatic… When KISS Was Cool! (and Peter Criss could actually play the drums!)

Kiss still cool? They are the laughing stock even amongst their own fans. More like a joke these days.
Después de 35 años KISS aun sigue siendo la banda más grande del planeta. Gene y Paul son los mejores. Excelentes fotografías. Saludos desde Santiago de Chile.
After 35 years KISS even it continues being the biggest band of the planet. Gene and Paul are the best. Excellent photographies. Regards from Santiago de Chile.

great set, too bad they aren’t even a real band anymore.
Growing up in NYC these guy’s were our local hero’s. I was a little young so I did not get to see them at The Coventry or Max’s Kansas City. I first saw them after they were signed and were already headlining venues. It’s great to look back when they were really cool and still developing themselves as musicians. Thanks to those guy’s, you helped make me the musician I am today.
Cheers
