Ok, here’s the deal. We’re looking for a few outstanding individuals who want to take the reigns of this beast known as Dogmatic. Yeah you heard right, for a period of one month only - I’m extending an invitation to you - oh faithful Dogmatic droogs - to write any article you feel worthy of being included right here on this blog.
Of course, I’m gonna want you to stick to the blog’s existing theme, which is pretty evident from just looking at this wretched thing - but apart from that, you are free to do as you please.
Any articles or reviews on music, TV, movies, art, toys you want to contribute or any ramblings whatsoever - talk to me!
You will be given full credit and can link back to your blog or web-page. I’m really curious to see if this will garner any sort of response so if you are interested, send me an email at dogmatic@gmail.com or just post away in the comments section.
Awaiting to hear from you…
Some fave photos I have taken over the past two weeks or so. Indulge me…

Had myself a pretty decent old day today. First of all, a recent photo of mine of Flinders Street Station has been chosen to appear on the front cover of a Melbourne industry magazine called ‘Planning News’. I was pretty stoked to have my work recognized like this… especially ‘cos it’s going to be on their cover! After a few emails and phone calls back and forth - we got it all organized. The magazine will be available on August 10. I’ll post more then.
In other matters, I have joined the team over at Black magazine. A couple of weeks ago I reported about this new dark culture magazine and now… I’m gonna be contributing very bits and pieces as well as some of my more dark photography. Their latest issues is on sale throughout Australia in newsagencies everywhere, so do pick up a copy.
I’m really excited about this. The first issue looks friggn amazing and I am anticipating some really cool happenings with the guys from Black over the course of this relationship!
Editor Angela Challis and I, discussed what my role would be today over the phone and I am so looking forward to getting stuck into it all.

I had the opportunity to be in the city on my lunch break. Dunno why it’s deemed a ‘lunch’ break because with a rare opportunity like this, I’d rather be taking photos than eating. As hungry as I was, I spent my break quickly trawling through some of my fave streets and alleys and taking as many shots as I could before I had to head back into work.

I don’t think I can ever get tired of doing that. I consider it practice as I try to learn more and more about this craft. It brings me so much joy. I feel complete when I have the camera in my hand. I feel in harmony with the urban environment which always… always looks different from the viewfinder. It all looks constricted and as I focus in and out, I see people scurrying out of the way. Sometimes they smile. Sometimes they scowl. Sometimes they are completely oblivious that I am watching them and shyly, I try and pretend I am focussing on something else as I don’t want them to feel uncomfortable.

It’s been a while since we’ve done the ole Wallpaper/Desktop thing so for this installment, I thought it would be cool if we could feature one of the Abbotsford Convent shots I took over the weekend. To be perfectly honest, I don’t really know how popular this segment of the blog is… feedback has been non-existent but, we’ll press on and continue with it.
