Always exciting stuff when Steve Jobs is launching new Apple goodness and today was no exception. I am sure the blogoshphere has covered all this extensively and in great detail, but the news in brief: New iTunes, new (sexy!) iPod nanos, updated 80gb iPod, new iPod shuffle, movies can now be purchased via the iTunes store, a sneak-peek at the iTV Media Center, gorgeous new iPod ad and you can watch the entire event here.
That ad LOOKS great, but goddamn am I sick of watching uber-hipsters prance around like dickheads in ipod ads. At least this one doesn’t have Wolfmother in it.
That being said, I did order a new black ipod today [my old 3rd Gen was on it's last legs].
*Sigh* No new touch-screen video iPod. Really disappoined with Apple on that one as I reackon they would’ve sold heaps and had more users using the new movie download service.
But iTunes 7 is pretty sweet with the Coverflow feature and better iPod management amongst other things. I’ve been doing gapless playback for ages though by playing with the settings of older iTunes. What I want to know is, is it gapless playback on the iPod aswell???
