Hey there guys, I'm Ben, 24 year old aussie who lives in an AC/DC universe. Clinton Walker, the author of the biographical 'Highway to hell, The life and times of Bon Scott' makes several explosive acusations about the 'Back in Black' record.

Anna Baba, Bon Scott's last girl friend claims that Bon was rehersing with the brothers , and thought up the drum beats to 'have a drink on me' and another song. Further more, she also claims that a book of lyrics mysteriously went missing from Bon's apartment immediatly after he died.

This is a constant source of controversy, can anyone really beleive that Brian Johnson, a geordie (northern england native) who was working on the leyland production line really have thought up the lyrics to the 2nd most popular record of any band in the history of the world????. you do the math, as they say in the good ole USA!

great post...I'm 53, grew up listening to the likes of Oscar Peterson, Dexter Gordon and a 1000 others in the jazz world...first heard Shoot to Thrill a couple years ago and liked it....everyone had a copy of Black, as well as Highway.....other middle aged WOP's insisted AC/DC was a good way to get introduced to R&R...my "introduction" has really never progressed...ac/dc was/is THE simple, blues based R$R band...the paradox of the death of Scott and subsequent release of a killer album just a couple months later introduces an element of mystery and intrigue....whoever put this site together is educating and entertaining me and a lot of others...keep it up!

Back In Black?
A wonderful post Dogmatic
I bought this AC/DC classic just as soon as it was released here in Scotland way back in the summer of 1980. I had been a AC/DC fan since '79/79 and they remain among the best purveyors of good time rock'n'roll. There is not much that comes close to such audio delight!

I'm a huge AC/DC fan from way back. I love it because it's just pure R O C K! It's so basic and cool that it's timeless. Great blog, keep it up.
