For fans, there is a ‘Deftones/Bob Ezrin Demos’ collection doing the rounds on the ‘net - do check it out! And for Aussie fans, the band will be touring our shores in the new year! (See you there!) But no one really manages to get their live performance out in the studio. 2 different beasts really. Saturday Night Wrist is a great album. I was talking to one of my friends after the show, and musing on how you always see those music videos where the entire concert hall is just chaos, but in reality 99% of concerts are a few people in a pit and a few people bobbing their heads in enjoyment- and at a Deftones concert, they actually manage to work the entire crowd up into a frenzy. I've seen them twice and they are great even when they are drunk and playing borrowed equipment.... but I only have a handful of songs I will go back and listen to on an album. I'll have to check out this cd! If they come your way, do check out the tour- they played Passenger, and the entire place filled in for Maynard's part. It was amazing.
