There’s so much I need to do to get this blog back up to speed. A lot has been happening but I just haven’t had the time to scratch myself of late. In a (salty) nutshell: just saw Slayer and Mastodon last night. Slayer were supreme but my ears are in pain. I’m getting far too old for this shit… this is the first gig I’ve been to in many a year where the ears have been hurting! Bought the NIN album over the weekend… totally awesome with some nice surprises here and there. More later. Saw 300 a week or so ago… pretty cool! Sent my Canon 400D in for repairs last week so I’m without my umbilical cord for a while. Career wise, things are just dandy. Personal life even dandier! Life is good and the Sopranos are back on TV (or Bit Torrent if you will).
Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch up with this all and update the Dogmatic droogs real soon! Blog on!
mastodon and slayer for me tomorrow night. thanks for the heads up regarding volume. might have to take the earplugs because i too am “getting far too old for this shit”.
I went by myself. I took my usual ear plugs (strips of black fabric cut from black socks which I roll up and insert) but I didn’t need them. Mastodon were louder than Slayer, but sounded much muddier, which is why I think Slayer toned it down, for clarity’s sake. A good choice. Not a bad concert…worth it to see Slayer for the first time.
