Jenna Jameson’s Shadow Hunter

Jenna Jameson Shadow Hunter

Adult film megastar and Playboy pal Jenna Jameson has produced a comic book for Virgin Comics, and it’s not what you think. Turns out Jenna has a horror fetish, or as she puts it: “When other folks go back to their hotel rooms at night and watch me, I go back and watch horror films. I’m addicted to them”.

With comics pro Christina Z (of Witchblade fame) Jenna has created Jezzerie Jaden, the titular Shadow Hunter. Modeled on Jenna herself, both physically and psychologically, our heroine has been seeing otherworldly visions since childhood, and is soon to discover that her family is, quite literally, from Hell. We’ll shut up and let Jenna, Christina and the amazing art (covers by Greg Horn, Greg Land, Daniel Brereton, J. Michael Linsner and Niko Henrichon, and interiors by Virgin Comics star Mukesh Singh) do the rest:

The 6-Minute Dark Knight Bank Heist Trailer

Heath Ledger - The Joker - The Dark Knight

As this blog can attest to, many have been objecting to the casting of Heath Ledger as the Joker in the forthcoming ‘The Dark Knight’ flick. Pretty senseless and short-minded really, when no one has even seen the film yet. There was a similar outcry when back in 1989, Michael Keaton was cast as the caped crusader. And boy, weren’t all those critics wrong as Keaton’s Batman was an amazing portrayal. From what I have seen of the upcoming pic, Ledger is nothing short of freaking amazing!

Further proof can be seen in the 6 minute prologue that screened before the debut iMax version of the ‘I Am Legend’ movie. Unfortunately, this is just a cam version - but it still looks great and shows off more of Ledger as the Joker.

The prologue was shot entirely with 70mm IMAX cameras.

The prologue features a bank heist orchestrated by the Joker, a criminal mastermind who, according to one of the thugs, wears “war paint” makeup to scare people. His face is revealed near the end, when he lifts up a clown mask to expose the white makeup and red, scarred mouth underneath. On his way out, he tells the bank’s infuriated manager, played by William Fichtner, that “whatever doesn’t kill you simply makes you stranger.”

    The Jenna Jameson Comic Book

    The Jenna Jameson Comic Book

World-famous entrepreneur, adult entertainment icon and New York Times best-selling author Jenna Jameson is creating and staring in her own series of comic books, it was announced today by Virgin Comics CEO, Sharad Devarajan, at Comic-Con, the industry’s annual super-festival in San Diego. The series, titled Shadow Hunter, debuts in comic shops and online comic retailers in December. The complete 144 page Shadow Hunter book will be available in June 2008 at all major book sellers. A new site, www.JennaComix.com will host additional information, previews and pre-orders of the comic art and books.

Shadow Hunter is the story of a provocative superheroine who survives a brush with death only to find herself fighting the legions of hell for her very soul. Cover art for the first issue has been created by Greg Horn, a top illustrator of comic books and video games. The story, while provocative and sexy, contains no nudity and is intended for a mainstream audience.

“Jenna Jameson is a cultural force,” said Virgin Comics CEO Sharad Devarajan. “She is an entrepreneur who is taking the taboo to the mainstream and has built an industry around her brand.”

“I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Virgin to bring this story to life, first as comics and eventually in film and other formats,” said Jenna Jameson. “Working with comics is creatively liberating – everything is possible. My character is sultry, sexy and kicks ass!’

“Jenna brings a defiance and edge to everything she does, said Gotham Chopra, Chief Creative Officer of Virgin Comics. “She’s a provocateur and there’s no doubt that our creative team at Virgin is going to have a blast collaborating with her. I can assure you every artist we have in our studio is vying to get assigned to this project!”

    Frank Miller's 300

Back in September we reported on the leaked trailer for Frank Miller’s 300 - the movie based on Miller’s comic book/graphic novel of the same name dealing with the legendary 300 Spartans of ancient Greece. Frank Miller’s adventure series 300 is a riveting story of one of the most under-reported and glorious battles of the Persian-Greco war. While Miller has taken substantial creative liberties in reporting the details of his version of the Spartan King Leonidas and his army of 300 valiant soldiers, the events he describes are remarkably accurate.

And now, here’s this year’s sexiest and most mind-fuckingly amazing trailer - in glorius HD. But if that isn’t enough to whet your appetite, check out the production blog or better yet, get yourselves a copy of the graphic novel.
